Review of Credentials
Doctor Frederick H. Drazner received his B.S. in Zoology at the University of Illinois (Champaign-Urbana) in 1968. He received his DVM from the University of Illinois in 1972.
Fred then spent the next three years at The Animal Medical Center (New York City) as both an intern and resident. Following that, the next seven years found Fred in Denver, Colorado as the staff internist in one of the first referral veterinary hospitals in America. During that period of time he became board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Medicine (1978-the second diplomate to have passed the examination while in private practice), was an adjunct professor at (Colorado State University-College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Colorado-School of Medicine, Denver University-Department of Comparative Medicine) and an instructor in Veterinary technology at Bel Rea Institute (Denver, Colorado).
Doctor Drazner has been a first or second author of more than fifty clinical articles relating to small animal medicine, has written chapters for such acclaimed textbooks as Current Veterinary Therapy, Textbook of Veterinary Internal Medicine and Small Animal Surgery, and is the editor of Small Animal Endocrinology.
Dr. Drazner has lectured at over sixty major meetings including: The ACVIM Forums, the AAHA national meetings, the AVMA national meetings and the Canadian and Mexican national veterinary meetings.
